ACTIVE SHADE® INSTALLATION AT ARIZONA BANK & TRUST
Arizona Bank & Trust is excited with the recent completion of the Active Shade® solar canopy installation at their Camelback Branch. The project is a showcase of combining aesthetics with practicality, “Shade that works™” using pre-fabrication techniques and close coordination of construction trades that results in quality of execution. Bank patrons have already been eager to park in the shade and have been very complementary about the look and feel of the Active Shade® solar canopies.
With the new Active Shade® solar canopies, the once formerly open parking lot has now been transformed into an elegant shaded oasis for people and their vehicles well before the heat arrives in Phoenix. And with Arizona’s plentiful sunshine, the electricity created by the integrated solar PV system will generate an eight and a half year payback relative to local utility rates.
Many thanks to an excellent client team at Arizona Bank & Trust who invested in our local companies to design and install the project. The Active Shade® Arizona-based project team includes Oculus Studio as the architect, designer and project coordinator with consulting provided by Caruso Turley Scott and Skidmore Engineering. Also hats off to the dedicated construction crews from Resolute Performance Contracting and K2 Electric who exercised their careful craftsmanship in executing the construction.
